Livepeer was founded in 2017, which is a video transcoding network based on Ethereum that aims to provide real-time video transmission protocol with decentralized, highly scalable, encryption token incentive, thus significantly reducing the cost of video transcoding.

Defi or decentralized finance is a blockchain-based form of finance that does not rely on central financial intermediaries such as brokerages, exchanges, or banks to offer traditional financial instruments, and instead utilizes smart contracts on blockchains. For decentralized lending, users need to provide collateral to borrow. However, with the gradual maturity of identity verification, it may develop into credit lending, where there is no need for over-collateralized lending.
